Glenn Eric Cole (Gimboy), 60, was born on October, 22, 1955 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina to Katherine Brooks Cole (deceased) and Hercules Cole Sr. Glenn Cole, a resident of Gambrills, Maryland closed his eyes on February 11, 2016 only to reopen them to the arms of our heavenly father. “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The Old life is gone; a new life has begun.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 He attended Pasquotank County public schools and graduated North Eastern High School in 1974. He furthered his education and graduated from Elizabeth City State University in 1979 (cum laude) with a double Bachelors in Accounting and Business Administration. In June of ’79 Glenn was united into holy matrimony to the former Gail Ruffin and from this union 3 children were born. Glenn moved to Illinois, where he worked 10 years for United Airlines and obtained his CPA (Certified Public Accountant. In 1988, Glenn gained employment at Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMC) formerly Martin Marietta in Maryland. He was a tax director, right below the vice president. He was also a former President of the Baltimore/Washington chapter of TEI (tax executive institute). He won a NOVA award for teamwork; a very prestigious award not given to many people. Glenn dedicated 28 years of service at LMC. In 2015 Glenn dedicated his life to the Lord. In his leisure time Glenn enjoyed watching old westerns, staying updated via CNN, introducing his children to music and later quizzing them on the genre, and staying active with the grandchildren. Nick named Chef Boyar-Glenn; he mastered cooking and enjoyed trying new foods. Glenn was a source of inspiration, love, and fountainhead of knowledge, he has left behind a rich harvest to cherish honor, and emulate.
