?Mary Jane Roig, 80, died peacefully on Saturday the 16th of January at her home in Bowie, returning to the Lord she loves. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Roig. Mary Jane, born in Oneonta, NY, daughter of William and Jane Dekker Askew, was retired after a long career with the federal government, where she worked in the Department of Census. She was known for her unique, rich soprano voice, her love of art and horses and her sweet disposition. She is survived by her daughters Wendy Hein (Jeff) and Laurie Kitzman (Chris), son Ed Roig (Wanda), sister JoAnn Baird, grandchildren Bill, Heather (Matt), Matt, Christy, Terri, Jay (Jen), David, Jenny and TL, great grandchildren Kadie, Jordyn, Ryleigh, and Maria. Family will receive friends at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 6 to 8pm, with a funeral service at 8pm. A private interment will be held in Crownsville Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
