Robert Joseph Reed III was known to many as Bo when he was young; Robert Jo, when he was in trouble; Robert, during his early years, and Bert, when he was older. We just discovered that those he worked with at Custom Iron called him simply, Reed. Robert was born in Washington DC and lived most of his early years in Crofton MD. His parents instilled in him a love for sports, mostly Football and Dirt Bike racing. Robert and his father are both New York Giants fans, they loved nothing more than hanging out on a Fall Sunday afternoon watching their New York Giants attempt to beat his mother's team, the Washington Redskins. His parents supported his passion for competitive Dirt Bike racing, spending hours traveling to and from the track in their motor home, cheering him on as he raced no matter what the weather conditions were. Bert Graduated from Arundel High School in 2001. He then went to work with his father and younger brother in the Custom Motorcycle industry. Most recently he was employed with Custom Iron, continuing his work in an industry he loved, a passion passed on to him from his father. Bert is preceded in death by his Maternal Grandmother, Linda Ann Peacock; his Paternal Grandfather, Robert Joseph Reed SR; and his Aunt, Rebecca Marie Ogle. He is survived by his most beloved Great Grandmother, (she is his favorite and as she will tell you to this day he is her favorite as well), Rita Teresa Hutson; his Grandmother, Sandra Lee Reed and her partner, Leroy Milburn; his beloved mother, Christina Marie Reed; his father, Robert Joseph Reed JR. and his partner, Carrie; his siblings, Sean Donovan and his fiancé Tanya; Sarah Lynne; Cody and Zachary; his Nephews, Kaden, Kaleb and Julius, whom Bert loved to spend time with; and his Uncles, Donovan and Jason. He also had many cousins that he loved dearly. While Bert left us way too early, he would not want us to grieve his loss, but rather to celebrate his life, remembering all the great times we spent together. He was called the Gentle Giant, he was such a big young man with a scowl on his face, but had a pure heart of gold and would offer his last dollar or the clothes off his back to make his friends' and family members' lives easier. He would never have wanted to hurt anyone and he would not want anyone to be hurting. As you reflect on your memories of Bert, please share them with the family in the guest book so that they may look back on them in fond remembrance of Bert's life, as they share in your experiences.
