Lisa Dee Albright was born on June 22, 1960 to Leonard and Dohna Simmons in Richmond, VA. She was a joy to her parents and two elder sisters (Debby & Linda). She was married and sealed for time and all eternity to the love of her life, Timothy Albright, on October 24, 1981 in the Washington DC LDS Temple in Kensington, MD. Lisa joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when she was 17 years old. She was passionate about her church service and was a wonderful example of service and dedication to God. She served in many church callings including positions on the Stake Young Women and Relief Society Presidencies, as well as a Sunbeam teacher, Visiting Teaching Coordinator, and her personal favorite, as a seminary teacher for five years. Tim and Lisa (more affectionately referred to as ’Roo’ by Tim) are the parents of five children (Ashley, Nicholas, Laura, Emily and John) and the grandparents of 12 (Ryley, Jackson, Calvin, Tate, Cullen, Harrison, Delaney, Crosby, Bennett, Everly, Brighton, and Dexter). Lisa absolutely loved being a Grammy! She also loved to bake, talk, entertain, shop, serve, and to have lots of fun! She was well known for her joyful attitude and countenance. Her testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was strong and evident in her service to others. She truly loved the Lord and her friends and family. After a long battle with cancer Lisa returned to her heavenly home on December 19, 2015. She will be missed and remembered by countless individuals whose lives she has touched.
