? Patricia (Patty) Ann Hoffman Geyer, 74, of Crofton, MD, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015. Born in Clinton, MA on August 3, 1941, Patty was the daughter of the late John J. and Ann O'Connell. She was the Valedictorian of the graduating class of 1959 from Clinton High School where she served as class vice president. She graduated from St. Vincent's Hospital School of Nursing in Worcester, MA in 1962 and worked as an assistant head nurse at Tufts New England Medicine Center in Boston until 1965. She married Lt. Joseph F. Hoffman (USNA Class of 60) in 1965 after meeting him at a wedding where he was serving as an usher. He took her arm and asked if he could walk her up the aisle and she smiled and said, "I've been waiting for this day my whole life." Together they raised three sons and a daughter during their 28 years of marriage. Following Joe's passing, Patty was blessed to find another special love of her life, Leroy Geyer, of Arbutus, MD. The two were married in 2000 and spent their years together travelling and spending time with their 12 grandchildren. Patty is survived by her husband, Leroy Geyer; her children, Joseph F. Hoffman III of Odenton, MD; Stephen Anthony Hoffman (Angela) of Leesburg, VA; Lisa Marie Hawkins (Bill) of Annapolis, MD; and Christopher Michael Hoffman (Colleen) of East Stroudsburg, PA; and her grandchildren, Stephen Hoffman, Ryan Hawkins, Alex Hoffman, Taylor Hawkins, Jake Hoffman, Colin Hoffman and Caitlin Hoffman. She is also survived by her husband's children and grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Debbie Parry (Dan) and Don Geyer (Lois) and grandchildren D.J. Parry, Dana Hnatyshyn (Taras), Katie Parry, Stephanie Aiello (Chris) and Jessica Geyer. Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, December 22, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy, Bowie, MD. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday morning, December 23, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1800 Seton Dr., Crofton, MD. Interment will follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd Elkridge, MD.
