Suzon Marie (Faherty) Fannon died Monday, November 16, 2015 in Millersville, Maryland after an extended illness. An elegant and well-mannered person to the end, Sue passed peacefully in her sleep. Sue was born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 16, 1935 to Catharine (Coleman) and Dr. John Faherty. She graduated Notre Dame Academy in Boston and Trinity College in Washington, D.C. While at Trinity, Sue met Georgetown student Jim Fannon. They married and settled in Bowie, MD where they raised 3 children. She enjoyed attending her children's activities and events and later those of her grandchildren. Later Sue worked as a clerk in the Prince George's County Courthouse. Sue is survived by her three children, Virginia (Ginger) Fiorenza and her husband Vince of York, Pennsylvania; Maureen (Mimi) Gilinsky and her husband Lew of Millersville, Maryland; and James E. (Jeff) Fannon III and his wife Sharon of Calais, Vermont, and her grandchildren, Justin, Natalie, Louis, and Joey Fiorenza, Jimmy and Jake Gilinsky, and Jack and ine Fannon. Sue also leaves her sister, Janet Berriman and her husband Ed of Vero Beach, Florida and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, John (Skip) Faherty. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association (alz.org). A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, November 23rd, 11am at Sacred Heart Chapel, Bowie, MD.
