Walter H. Casey

Walter H. Casey, born March 14, 1927 passed away approximately 1:30 AM Thursday, October 29, 2015 as a result of kidney failure. He is survived by his younger brother Philip Casey of Glens Falls, N.Y., his wife of sixty-seven years, Claire M. Casey; his four children and their spouses: Linda & Dave Downey, Sandra and Greg White, Richard Casey, and George and Ruth Casey; five grandchildren: Robin Frost, Timothy White, Elizabeth Berman, Denise Casey, and Kevin Casey; and, seven great grandchildren: Alexis, Chantel, Devin, Sean, Hailey, Tyler and Natalie. Walter served in the US Navy on the USS San Marcos in the Pacific Theatre of World War II. He worked as a high voltage power lineman in the greater metro Washington, D.C. and Baltimore areas, and Long Island, New York. He finished his career as an airfield lighting electrician leader at Andrews Air Force Base. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, November 8th at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 N.W. Crain Highway (Rt. 3 South), Bowie, Maryland 20715. Catholic burial rites will be observed at the funeral home 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 9th followed by internment at the Fort Lincoln Cemetery. A repass for family and friends will be held following the burial service. The family is asking in lieu of flowers for donations to Wounded Warriors in Walter's memory. Sympathy cards and notes of support can be sent to Claire Casey c/o George Casey at his home.
