William "Bill" Mish Sr, 78, a resident of Gambrills, MD went to be with his Lord on Tuesday October 27th 2015 surrounded by his friends and family after a long struggle with cancer. Bill was born on October 1st 1937 to Kemp and Edna Mish. He graduated from George Washington University in 1962 with a bachelor's degree of Mechanical Engineering. He was married to Dolores on August 1st 1969. Mr. Mish retired from NASA Goddard Space Flight Center after 40 years of service. He was a regular participant at the Annapolis location of John Gardner School of Boatbuilding. He participated in a number of boat building projects including his own McInnis Bass Boat, the rebuild of a Magothy Beal Row Boat and his own Simmons Sea Skiff. He is survived by his wife Dolores, brother Robert, daughter Donna Lynn (Per), three sons Bill Jr (Linda), Kevin (Jennifer), Patrick (Devon) and fourteen grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 during the hours of 2 - 4p and 6 - 8p at Beal Funeral Home, 6512 Crain Highway, Bowie, MD 20715. Father Paul Sparklin at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 1800 Seton Drive Crofton, MD 21114, will hold a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 11a. A gathering of friends and family will be held following the Mass at 12:30p at Christopher's Restaurant in Crofton MD. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Nature Conservancy in the name of William H Mish Sr. Special thanks to the staff at Right at Home and Hospice of the Chesapeake for their exceptional care during his final days.
