Christopher Jerome "Chris" Grimley died unexpectedly on September 13, 2015 in Glenn Dale, Maryland at the age of 31. Chris was the loving father of two beautiful daughters, Teresa Angeline & Cora Rose; partner to Anna Shipley; son of Mike and Mary Grimley; brother of Theresa Grimley, Vincent (Jamie) Athey,and Michael Grimley; uncle of Joshua and Calleigh. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Constantine and Angeline Sartori of New Carrolton, MD., Harry and Dorothy Grimley of Temple Hills, MD; his uncle, John Sartori of Woodbine, MD and his aunt Myrna Lagana of Mechanicsville, MD. Christopher was born on September 30, 1983 in Cheverly, MD to Mike and Mary Grimley. He attended Holy Redeemer School and Parkdale High School. As a young child and through his school years, Chris excelled at numerous sports, especially baseball and soccer. He was an avid Redskin fan and was always optimistic that they would do well each year. He loved watching the Skins and Nationals. He also enjoyed camping and hiking. He spent time reading about nature and watching the Discovery Channel. Chris loved to take his kids on walks to the park as they would explore the wonders of nature. His girls recall good times playing in the leaves with Daddy or maybe just hanging out and watching a good movie together. He loved teaching them how to play sports like baseball, tennis and football. He enjoyed playing board games with his children and showing them card tricks. They will miss him greatly. Revelation 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
