Vernice Elizabeth Howard

Ms. Vernice E. Howard, beloved family matriarch and retired Director, Educational Advisory Center, at the Howard University College of Liberal Arts, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the age of 90. She touched the lives of thousands of Howard students over her 40+ year career in academic advising through her leadership, expert guidance, service, and tireless advocacy. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 21 at Second Baptist SW, 5501 Silver Hill Road, District Heights, MD. Visitation at 11 a.m., funeral at 12 Noon. Interment in Norfolk, VA at a later date.
