Catherine R. Hans

On Friday, September 4, 2015, Cathy passed away peacefully after 98 amazing years. She was a proud native Washingtonian, growing up on Capitol Hill, later living in Crofton, Odenton and Severna Park. She was an avid Redskin fan. Cathy always enjoyed a round of golf and being challenged by her grandchildren to a game of "pass the ace" and bowling. She was much loved by Carol (Robert) Reddersen, Suzanne (Richard) Burbidge, John Hans, Christine Moore, Thomas Hans, Richard (Judi) Hans and Michael (Kim) Hans. Also survived by her 27 grandchildren and 26 and 3/4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by John Hans, her loving husband of 77 years. We are teary eyed and astounded at a wonderful life, so full and well lived. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 10am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1800 Seton Dr. Crofton, MD. Interment private.
