William Deputy Cline

Bill was born on Oct. 28, 1927 in Washington, DC to James and Sallie Cline. He lived on Girard Street N.E. Following in his father's foot steps, he went into the Navy in 1945, served 2 years and was honorably discharged. He began working for the Washington Gas Company and worked his way up to Foreman. He retired from Washington Gas in 1983. He is survived by his sister, Betty; his loving wife, Mary Cline; 3 children, his daughter, Mary Mercilliott (husband, Bob Mercilliott), his son, Dave Wetzel (wife, Cindy Wetzel), and daughter, Theresa Davis; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, nieces and a nephew.
