Carryl P. Frank, a 51 year resident of Bowie and member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, died on August 9, 2015 peacefully at Heritage Harbour Rehabilitation Center in Annapolis. Carryl was born on May 21, 1928 in New York, NY to Frederick and Carryl Page. Carryl was a 1949 graduate of Our Lady of Good Counsel College, now Pace University, in White Plains, NY. After graduating from college, she worked as a social worker for the city of New York where she met her husband Frederick Frank, whom she married in 1954. Together, they had seven children and moved to Bowie in 1962. During her time in Bowie, Carryl worked as a home school teacher for Prince George's County and as a substitute teacher at St. Pius X Regional School. Carryl was also active in the St. Pius X Sodality. She was an excellent mother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Carryl was preceded in death by both of her parents and her husband Frederick, who died in 1982. She is survived by her seven children: Richard (Cathy Ann) of Jackson, NJ, Kathleen Carkin (Ken) of Hay Market, VA, Anne Williams (Donald) of Knoxville, TN, Ellen Gede (Christopher) of Bowie, MD, Susan Godfrey (Glenn) of Ashburn, VA, Peter (Sandra) of Bowie, MD and Mary Kimble of Crofton, MD and Carryl's lifelong friend, Sister Aileen Kelly of New York, NY. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Family will receive friends at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 4 to 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 14720 Annapolis Rd., Bowie, MD on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 10:30am. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Pius X Regional School, 3300 Moreland Place, Bowie, MD 20715.
