Born December 28, 1923 and entered Heaven July 17, 2015. Gustavus Warren Sears, passed away at home surrounded by family on Friday, July 17. The son of Hallie Caroll Warren and Gustavus Wood Sears, he was survived by his son Steven Sears (wife Brenda); Grandson Frank Sears (wife Brianna); Great Grand Daughter Faith Sears; and brother Erle Sears. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Helen Garretson Sears; and his loved wife Louise Fusco Sears; sisters Faye Campbell and Ethel Riley; and brother Wesley. A resident and native of Maryland, Warren served his Country in WWII with the Navy School of Music on the USS Honolulu. Warren's greatest passion was Evangelism, sharing his love for Christ. He was a Gideon, a Deacon, taught Bible Studies at the Cheltenham Boy's Village, and was Founder of Operation Salt & Light. He was gifted in the arts playing saxophone, painting, singing, writing music, recording records, authoring two books, and he invented the Music Light for the Deaf now used at Galludet College. At 91 years' old he went on book tours and made it a point to shoot pool with friends.
