TERESA ANN BUCKOSKI (nee URMAN) Born August 1950 and went to her eternal life July 15, 2015 in Washington, DC. Graduate of Crossland High School, Camp Springs MD (1968) and Alliance College, Cambridge Springs, PA (1972). Survived by her husband of 36 years, Brian Buckoski (Lt Col USA ret); two brothers in Virginia, a sister in Florida and many loving cousins and a five nieces and nephews. Additionally, her friends number in the hundreds. She retired from U.S. Federal service after 38 years in 2010. In 1979 she was promoted as the first female supervisor of personnel investigations in the history of the OPM investigations division. Long time member of the Federal Event Planners organization. She was active in the Polish National Alliance holding National and Local offices. Additionally she was a lifetime advocate of Polish causes and events in the greater National Capital region. For example she supported the (now) Saint John Paul II National Shrine. She loved animals (pets), cherished gardening, enjoyed her cruises with a work hard/play well philosophy, travelled to her parents homelands of Poland and Lithuania, helped her Dad repatriate his property there, enjoyed fine dining, loved to cook and entertain friends and family, took pride in her yard work and landscaping. There will be a viewing from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday July 19 at the BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Highway (Rt.3 South), Bowie, MD 20715. Ph: 301-805-5544. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday July 20 at the Polish parish, Our Lady, Queen of Poland and St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 9700 Rosensteel Avenue, Forest Glenn, MD 20910. Interment will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday morning, July 22 at the Calvary Catholic cemetery, Herkimer, New York, 13350.
