Frank B. Gwozdz, Jr.

On Tuesday, May 19, 2015, loving husband of Mary Ann (Ewanits) Gwozdz; beloved son of Mary Gwozdz and the late Frank B. Gwozdz, Sr.; cherished brother of Carol (Peter) Quinlan, Patricia (Timothy) Ross, Elaine (Gary) Sommers, Linda (Roger) Wienke, and David (Michelle) Gwozdz. Also survived by sisters-in-law Fran Ewanits, Joni Ewanits, Dolores Richardson, and Bernadette (Thomas) Gregor; and several nieces, nephews, and his special pets Ally, Daisy, and Nicky. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Chapel, 16501 Annapolis Rd., Bowie, MD on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 10:00am. Interment will be private. If desired, contributions may be made in Frank's memory to Hospice of the Chesapeake, John and Cathy Belcher Campus, 90 Ritchie Hwy, Pasadena, MD 21122. Frank co-authored at least five technical papers related to Research & Development of real-time, online, automated poultry inspection systems. He also worked with scientists, designed and built prototype equipment for Imaging and Near-Infrared [NIR] spectroscopy to automate inspection systems. Frank helped train and mentor graduate and post-graduate interns and assisted them in their research. Frank worked with Agr. Marketing Service to study and analyze congestion and distribution for inner-city central markets and used AutoCAD 2D and 3D and AutoCAD Architecture to demonstrate layouts, views, and renderings. Frank also did computer modeling and systems modeling to dynamically visually model problems and determine solutions.
