On Saturday, February 7, 2015, Carmen A. Oliff, of Columbia, Md. passed away after several months of illness. She was married to the Late William L. Oliff of PG County. She is survived by four sisters Lydia Puray, Rosario Aldiano, Paquita Eubanks, and Inday Dionson; one brother Rodrigo Aldiano; one brother-in-law Dan Eubanks. She is also survived by seven nieces and nephews, Dennis Dionson, Trixia Hoang, Paul Dionson, Michael Puray, Mario Puray Jr, and Alexander David Puray and Joy Omega; and 25 grand nieces and nephews. She was an avid crossword solver and enjoyed baking, gardening, and square dancing. In the Philippines she was a Librarian at the Library of Congress. When she arrived in the U.S. she was a chief researcher at a law firm in D.C. that specialized in Nuclear Energy. In addition to her career she spoke French and German. Near the end of her career she worked for the Prince Georges County Govt. for many years. Family will receive friends at the family-owned Beall Funeral Home, at 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rt 3 South), Bowie, MD on Thursday, February 12, 2015, 4 to 6:30 p.m., and a service will be held from 6:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held at the Ephesus Christian Church Cemetery, 364 Horners Mill Rd., Foneswood, VA on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 12:30 p.m.
