Margaret C. Demme

Margaret "Peggy" Church Demme, 79, of Silver Spring, MD, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015. Peggy was born July 27, 1935 in Washington, DC. She graduated from National Cathedral School in 1954 and received her BA in Elementary Education from American University in 1958 where she was a member of Delta Gamma sorority. Peggy was a long time elementary school teacher in Montgomery County, MD public schools. She retired in 1998 and spent her free time pursuing her love of family and travel. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Evelyn Church. She is survived by her three children: Wendy Conti (Mario) of Savannah, GA, formerly Annapolis, MD; Britt Byrne (Kip) of Charlotte, NC; Tammy Byrne (Jordan Green) of Kensington, MD; and by her six grandsons: James and Adam Conti, Zachary and Tyler Green and Seamus and Aidan Byrne.
