Michael M. McGuire, Sr., 74, of Bowie, died November 28 at The University of Maryland Medical Center. He was born August 9, 1940 in Washington D.C. to Thomas W. and Mary Jane McGuire. He graduated from Archbishop Carroll High School in 1959. He worked for the Steamfitters Local 602 beginning in 1963, and the Maryland National Capital Park & Planning Commission until his retirement in 1999. He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Bowie and also the Loyal Order of Moose. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tressia R. McGuire, and survived by his three children, Michael M. McGuire, Jr. and his wife Marianne of Odenton, Robert T. McGuire and his wife Kim of Germantown, and Lori D. McGuire of Mundelein, IL; four sisters, Christine Carpenter of Wilmington, NC, Sally Rosenberger of Annandale, VA, Mary Jane Daniels of Takoma Park, and Alice Wolford of Bowie; one brother Thomas P. McGuire, and four grandchildren, Colin, Clare, Megan, and Katelyn. Family will receive friends at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 6:30 to 8:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Chapel, 16501 Annapolis Rd., Bowie, MD on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 10:00am. Interment, Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, MD.
