He was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the U.S. Army, a member of the Bowie Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years, and retired after 28 years as a Prince George's County Firefighter. Beloved husband of Roberta A. Machande; loving father of Thomas R. "Scot" Machande, Jr. and his wife, Dawn, and Kelly R. Machande; dear grandfather of Jacob and Megan. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 9pm with a Fire Department Service at 7pm, at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy.
