Melvin Maurice Spencer

Dr. Melvin M. Spencer, originally from Washington, D.C. departed life on September 20, 2014. He is survived by three loving sons, Mark (Monique), Scott (Frances) Christopher and loving companion Donna Waldron. Dr Spencer graduated from Dunbar High School in 1949, received his Bachelor of Science Degree from North Carolina Central University, Master's Degree from the University of Iowa and his Doctorate from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He retired from the Consumer Product Safety Commission as the Assistant Program Manager for the Electrical and Hazards Division in 1986. The viewing will be from 9:30-11:30 and service begins at 11:30 am on Friday, September 26, 2014 at the Beall Funeral Chapel 6512 NW (Rt. 3 South) Crain Highway, Bowie, Maryland.
