Marshall E. Brothers (Age 68) On Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014, at Perry Point VAMC Hospice Center in Perry Point, MD. Brothers went home to be with the LORD. Born in Brooklyn, NY and resided in Augusta, Georgia prior to transitioning. Marshall is predeceased by his parents Edgar & Dixie Brothers; and Daughter Kataya (Kim) Brothers. Survived by his wife Anita Brothers; brother Edgar Brothers; sons Stephen Perry and Winston Brothers; daughter Marcia Clark; stepdaughter Tanika Hyman; ten grandchildren; two nieces and four nephews; a host of great nieces/nephews and cousins. Brothers served close to seven years as a Marine and held positions in Special Units such as a Hostage Negotiator prior to retiring from the Metropolitan Police Department in 1990. Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 28,, 2014 from 11am to 1pm, at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie MD, with a funeral service at 1pm. Interment, Maryland Veterans, Cheltenham, MD.
