Jamie Louise Longstreet Paterson, born July 22, 1930, Gainesville, Georgia, daughter of Fitz Randolph Longstreet and Zelia Stover Longstreet. Granddaughter of Confederate General James Longstreet. Jamie lived in Gainesville, Georgia until married to William D. Paterson, 1957, whom she met dancing in Gainesville. William was a native Pennsylvanian stationed at an Army Ranger Camp in north Georgia at the time. She graduated from Gainesville Business School and worked at the Gainesville Midland Railroad. Moved to Washington, DC after marriage, living in DC until 1962 when moved to Bowie, MD. Survived by sons, William D. Paterson, Jr and James R. Paterson. Daughter-in-Law, Sherry Paterson, grandson Shane Comegys and two great-grandsons, Eli and Jude Comegys, great-granddaughter on the way. She loved to sew especially Great American Doll clothes.
