TJ Humphrey (30), of Edgewater, Maryland passed away on Wednesday, July 30, at University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. TJ was born on January 2, 1984 in Portsmouth, Virginia. He attended Waugh Chapel Elementary in Odenton; and Benjamin Tasker Middle School and Bowie High School, both in Bowie. He attended Wyotech in Blairsville, PA, receiving his Associates in Business Adminstration and became certified in collision & finishing and chassis fabrication. It was while attending school in PA where he met the love of his life, Amy Kelly. They married on September 23, 2012 and have two beautiful children: Brooklyn, age 2 years, and Jaxon, age 3 weeks. TJ was employed at Severn Auto Body, working first as a body technician and then was promoted to service writer. TJ is survived by his wife Amy; his children Brooklyn and Jaxon; his mother Ruth Jennings of Owings; his brother Shane Jennings of Owings; his brother Tyler Jennings of Davenport, FL; nieces, Samantha and Kaylee Jennings; Uncle John Jones and Bryan Blankenship of Washington, DC; Uncle Welby Jones of Lake Wales, FL; his parents-in-law Linda and Orvil Kelly of Blairsville, PA; his brother-in-law Scott Kelly of Pittsburgh, PA; maternal grandparents Joan and Lewis Townshend of Lake Wales, FL; his father Michael W. Humphrey and Tammy Humphrey of Glen Burnie; and his paternal grandmother Betty Humphrey of West Virginia. TJ always put his family first, with, "in his words, "trucks, cars, bikes, guns, tattoos, skateboards, and snowboards all a close second." Family will receive friends at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Highway (Route 3 South), Bowie, MD, on Saturday, August 9, 2014, from 1 to 3 p.m., with a funeral service immediately following. A Celebration of Life will be held from 5 to 10:30 p.m. at Calvert County Fairgrounds-Main Hall.
