Alma Ione Rowan

Alma I. Rowan, 95, died peacefully on July 20 at home in Gambrills. She is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, John W. Rowan; a son, Robert Rowan and his wife, Mary Ann; a sister, Jean Leatherwood; three brothers, Robert, Rex, and Carrol Seals; three grandchildren, Michael and Peter Rowan and Jean Borman; and five great-grandchildren, Madeline, Andrew, Liza, Kate, and Molly. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 8 p.m., on Thursday, July 24, at the family-owned Beall Funeral Home, 6512, NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie. Interment at 1:45 p.m. on Friday, July 25, at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Rd., Crownsville.
