Ronald Lee Simon

Ronald was born in Washington, DC to George Simon and Lilian Cohen on January 3rd, 1937. Ron grew up in Washington, DC with his older brother, Norman Simon, and graduated from Calvin Coolidge Senior High School with the Class of 1955. He served a long and successful career in the service industry--from managing operations for large grocers to owning and operating his own bar. Over time he lived in Silver Spring, Greenbelt, Bowie, and Laurel, MD. Ron passed away late in the evening of July 11, 2014, at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. His last moments were peaceful and without pain. He leaves behind two nieces and an adoptive family he was proud to call his own. He is loved and will be missed. Consistent with his wishes, there will be no funeral service. However, a small, private memorial service will be held in a month's time.
