Agnes Furtwengler

Mrs. Agnes Furtwengler, age 76, died of cancer at the Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro, NC, on Friday, April 25, 2014. Agnes was born on June 7, 1937 in Baltimore, MD where she grew up, the daughter of Harry and Agnes McCarthy. Agnes married James Furtwengler in 1957 and settled in Landover Hills, MD while raising her family. She worked for over 20 years in bank administration at Citizen's Bank and retired in 1999. Agnes moved to Florida in 2000, and moved to Fayetteville, NC in 2007. Survivors include her son Joseph and wife Kathy, of Charlottesville VA, daughter Mary Mullis and husband Jerry Locklear of Fayetteville NC, and grandchildren Daniel and Valerie Mullis. Agnes is also survived by sisters Maureen Fisher and husband Donald, and Shirley Wheeler and husband Buddy. Agnes' memory will also be cherished by many nieces, nephews and friends. Agnes is predeceased by her parents and husband.
