"Coach" Bill Campbell

"Coach" William Robert Campbell (age 90) Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 19, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Eileen Kane Campbell; father of Michael (Nee) Campbell and Patti (Terrence) Bayly; grandfather (PopPop) to Bill (Catherine), Tom (Yewande), Krissie, and Maura Bayly; great-grandfather (Big PopPop) to Eleanor and Josephine Bayly. He was preceded in death by his brother Frank Campbell of Pittsburgh, PA. Bill was a professor of Kinesiology and the Swimming & Diving Coach at the University of Maryland from 1955-1976. He was a member of the St. Mark's Parish in Adelphi, MD as well as the Moose Club and the American Legion. He owned Swim Pro, Inc for 25 years. Relatives and friends may call on Friday, April 25, 2014 from 5 to 8pm at BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 26, 2014, 10am, at the Riderwood Village Chapel. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
