Paul Stanley Hanczaryk

Paul Stanley Hanczaryk (Age 63) of Crofton, MD passed away April 20, 2014. Paul was born March 13th, 1951 in Evanston, Illinois. He was a beloved husband of Elizabeth Hanczaryk and devoted father of three sons, Brian (Katie), Jon (Lori), and William. He is also survived by one brother, Edwin (Donna) and two grandchildren, John Paul and Cooper. Paul attended the University of Maryland where he received a B.S. in Economics. He had an excellent collegiate and amateur golfing career which included playing in the U.S. Amateur at Inverness in 1973. Paul was employed by the U.S. Census Bureau since 1976. He was a resident of Crofton since 1979 and resident of Maryland for over 50 years. Paul enjoyed working with children throughout his life. He spent many years coaching various Crofton youth sports teams and more recently working with the Anne Arundel County Special Olympics golf program. A devoted follower of Christ, Paul was an active parishioner at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church. He derived much spiritual joy and peace from Bible Study and through his small faith formation group. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2-4pm & 7-9pm at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy, Bowie, MD. Funeral services scheduled for Friday, April 25th 11am at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Avenue, Millersville, MD. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. All are invited to share food and fellowship after interment in the church auditorium. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul's memory to St. Jerome Academy, 5207 42nd Place, Hyattsville, MD 20781.
