On Friday, April 11, 2014, Efthymios G. Ponticas of Timonium, MD. beloved husband of Chrysoula (née Carman); brother of Demetrios Ponticas of Vounichora, Greece; father of Yula Ponticas and Keith Slifer; George Ponticas and Regina Lambrinos; Louis Ponticas and Eleni Stavroudis; Anastasia and John Kula; grandfather of the late Nicholas John Slifer. The family will receive friends in the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc., 10 W. Padonia Road, (at York Road) Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9PM, with a Trisaghion Service at 3PM. Mr. Ponticas will lie in state on Monday, April 14, 2014 at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation, 24 W. Preston St., Baltimore, MD 21201 from 10:30 until the time of funeral service, 11AM. Interment, St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Cemetery, 2504 Cub Hill Road, Parkville, MD 21234. In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered in his name to Annunciation Cathedral.
