Elizabeth T. Connolly

Elizabeth Todd Connolly, 96, of Hyattsville, MD passed away peacefully on Friday the 28th with family at her side. Liz was born Elizabeth Todd Bumpus On July 11th in 1917, to Sarah Elizabeth and John Joseph Bumpus of Charleston West Virginia. She was married to Walter Joseph Connolly for 54 years until his passing in 1998. She is survived by 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Liz moved from Charleston to DC in 1935 where she met Walt. They moved to Fenwick Island, DE in 1983. After his passing, Liz moved into Riderwood in Silver Springs, MD Liz was always the rock of the family, dedicating her life to her children and their children. The family now stretches from Massachusetts to Florida, but is concentrated in Maryland. While Liz's life revolved around her church, her kids' schools and their many sporting events, she really enjoyed to travel and chat with her many friends. She will be sorely missed by many, but her happy demeanor and infectious smile will live on in generations to come.
