Starr Lee Campos

January 30, 1982 — January 28, 2014

Obituary Starr Lee Campos was born January 30, 1982 to loving parents Muniyrah West and Gabriel Max-Henri Arnoux. Starr peacefully went to rest on January 28, 2014 after a long battle with Fibrolamellar liver cancer. She attended Bowie High School in Bowie, Maryland. Starr excelled at the L'Academie de Cuisine where she received her degree in Culinary Arts. She loved to cook and it was her life long dream to be an accomplished Chef. Her personality was just as creative as her cooking. She was a friendly, happy, artistic and outgoing soul who loved to dance. As a child, Starr always wanted to help everyone. That endearing quality carried on with her into adulthood. This was shown through her missionary work in Africa. She always loved to make others smile and knew how to uplift your spirits. She was always a sweetheart who loved everyone and felt that everyone needed to be loved. On November 19, 2003, Starr and Dennis Earl Ledbetter welcomed their only child, Jeremiah Earl Ledbetter into the world. She was an excellent mother teaching her son how to be respectful, courteous and courageous. Later she found her true love and best friend, Jesse Campos. They were happily married on December 13, 2010. She also had a very special relationship with her grandparents Lellon and Coleman Brown, and late Papa Nene. Starr was always very lively even when fighting through her pain. We will always remember Starr by her gentle touch, her strong will, her sweet kisses, her words of reassurance, her long beautiful eye lashes and the way she rolled her eyes at you. As a family we did everything possible to comfort her. Although we are saddened and devastated by her passing, we are grateful in knowing Starr is sleeping peacefully. There will soon be a time when these tears of sorrow will be removed from our eyes and we will see our beloved again renewed in Paradise. Until then, we will continue to have faith and appreciate others surrounding us. She leaves to mourn her passing, her mother Muniyrah West and husband Melvin West, her father Max-Henri Arnoux and wife Beatrice Saint-Felix, her many siblings Maatiyaas Solomon, Manaar Broxton and husband Ian Broxton, Mubarrak Solomon, Valerie Gabrielle Arnoux, Olivia Beatrice Arnoux and Mikaaiyl Perry. Her close cousin Stacy Arnoux who grew up with her and stood by her side and Her Uncles Stephane', Daniel, and Thierry Arnoux; on her mother's side Vicky Burns, Gwendolyn Faith Royal-Smith, and Charon Williams, to name a few; close Friends Laura, Delight, Yvette, Jenn, and Angela; along with a host of other family, friends and co-workers who absolutely adored her.
