John M. Bowie

Bowie, John M., died peacefully on Wednesday, August 28, 2013. A resident of Upper Marlboro, MD, he enjoyed his home, family, and RV camping. He founded Bowie Trucking Service in 1953 and also worked as a farmer. Beloved husband of the late Dixie C. Bowie; loving father of Georgia B. Rowe (Ben), Ronald B. Bowie (Connie), Victoria B. Suchy (Ray), and the late Robert D. Bowie and John C. Bowie. Grandfather of 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 14111 Oak Grove Rd., Upper Marlboro, MD 20774 on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 10am. Interment, St. Barnabas Cemetery. If desired, contributions may be made to St. Barnabas Church.
