Jacqueline P. Smith (Jackie)

Jackie age 76 of Bowie passed away on Monday, August 26 at her home surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert L. Smith, Jr (Bob), sister Jo Anne Steubing, two sons, Mike Smith of Camden, DE and Scott Smith (Lori) of Severna Park, MD and four grandchildren, Brandon, Tyler, Justin & Kelly. Jackie was born in Annapolis, MD and raised in Severna Park, MD. She and Bob met while attending Annapolis High School (now Maryland Hall). She graduated in 1955 and they were married in 1959. She and Bob spent many lovely days on the beaches in Severna Park, particularly Linstead. In their younger days, they would often stop by Dawson's Corner soda fountain. Jackie attended Hood College in Frederick, MD and graduated with a degree in Home Economics in 1959. She was a 50 year resident and original settler of Bowie's Kenilworth section. Jackie worked for many years as a data entry operator at Quality Data. She was a long standing member and past Deacon of CCPC Church of Bowie as well as an avid bridge card player. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
