Mildred B. Dare, 92, a Bowie resident for the past 25 years, died on August 24. She was formerly a resident of Oxon Hill, where she was an active member of Oxon Hill United Methodist Church. She loved cooking, gardening, playing Bridge, and was a volunteer at the Greater SE Community Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Grover Dare in 2003 ans sisters Eloise Saroff and Mabel Sanders. She is survived by her son, Craig Dare and his wife Mary; daughter, Dianne McFarland and her husband John; sister, Marguerite Leahy; 4 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Thursday, September 5, 2013 from 10:30 to 11:30am, with a Funeral Service at 11:30am. Interment, Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD.
