Irene E. Reynolds

Irene Evelyn Reynolds, 93, a resident of Bowie since 1986, passed away August 20th at the Odenton Kris-Leigh Assisted Living. Born in Knoxville, Tenn. on May 18, 1920 to the late Fred and Jessie Vandergriff, Irene was one of seven children. Married in 1945 to the late James Reynolds, they lived, together, in Cheverly, Md. for 22 years, until his passing in 1967. Family, friends and baking were Irene's passions in her life. She was a faithful and active member of the Cheverly United Methodist Church. She leaves two daughters, Judy Sedei (Gary Sedei) of Kent Island and Dolores Magruder (Jack Magruder)of Bowie. Grandmother of Brian Driver, Jennifer Driver-LeMuiex , Patrick Magruder and Molly Magruder; five great grand-children. Irene requested a small, private funeral. Her family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last few years.
