Dorothy J. South

Dorothy J. South, 92, of Crofton, MD died peacefully at home on August 16, 2013. Dorothy was born in Columbus, GA, grew up in Houston, TX, and later moved to Silver Spring, MD, and then Crofton, MD where friends, neighbors and their children knew her as Grandma South. After retiring from the Boys' Clubs of Greater Washington, she worked in resource recovery and on several publications. Dorothy is survived by her sisters Carolyn Hynes and Elizabeth Gould, grandson Bob Jones, several nieces and nephews and their children, all in Texas, Montana and Colorado; son Frank South and his wife, Luise, daughter Mary-Ann Li, grandchildren Pat South and his wife, Elaine, Chris South, Derek and Jennifer Li, and great grandchildren Chloe and Tristan South, all in Maryland.
