Philomena Dantone

Born on July 27, 1921 in Keels, Newfoundland, Philomena and her family eventually moved to Montreal,Quebec in the 1930's. She emigrated to the US in 1947 and ended up living with her sister, Nora O'Keefe in Brooklyn, NY. There she met Joseph Dantone and were wed on February 18,1950. In 1983, after Joseph's retirement from the NY City Transit Authority, they moved to Bowie, MD. After a 10 month fight against cancer, Joseph passed on February 13, 2000, five days before their 50th Anniversary. Philomena continued living at their house in Bowie and found a friend, Missy, her cat and constant companion. One of the things she enjoyed was watching ETWN. She is survived by her son Vincent, daughter-in-law Kathleen, and her granddaughter Courtney Elizabeth.
