John F. Thomas III, a chemical company executive, died of heart failure on June 18th. He was 67. John was born to the late John Thomas, Jr. and Emma Stevens Thomas in Baltimore, Maryland. He was a 1963 graduate of Glen Burnie High School and earned a bachelor's degree in 1976 from the Johns Hopkins University. He had been a resident of Crofton, Maryland since 1976. John worked for W. R. Grace for 35 years. He later founded ChemSource East, Inc. and was owner and president for 15 years. He enjoyed golf, and was a member of the Crofton Country Club. He was also an accomplished guitarist and keyboardist. Surviving are his beloved wife of 49 years, Marian; two children, Alayna Mande of Crofton and John Thomas, IV of Edgewater; and four grandchildren.
