Ronald Kozura, 77 of Bowie, Maryland passed away suddenly Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Maryland after a brief illness. Ronald was born January 1, 1936 to Stephen and Elizabeth Ruth (Troutman) Kozura in Pottsville, Pennsylvania and was an only child. Ronald graduated from Minersville Area High School in Minersville, Pa. in 1953. He then went on to graduate from Penn State University in 1959 with a degree in Business. In 1954 he met his future wife Virginia Wood with whom he would eventually marry in 1957. The young couple moved to Levittown, Pennsylvania in 1957 where Ronald took his first job with the Federal Government at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. In 1966 the young couple moved to Bowie, Maryland where Ronald continued his career with the Federal Government. He was first employed at the Federal Reserve Board and eventually moved on to the General Accounting Office where he worked as a Systems Analyst until his retirement in 1993. Ronald was preceded in death by his Mother, Elizabeth Ruth (Troutman) Kozura, and Father, Stephen Kozura. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Virginia; along with four sons, Donald Kozura of Bowie, James Kozura of Bowie, Mark and Nancy (Gertz) Kozura of Hagerstown, and Steven and Sissel (Thoresen) Kozura of Crofton; two grandchildren Erik and Adrian Kozura of Crofton; and two step-grandchildren Christopher and Dorothy Gertz of Hagerstown.
