Amy was born in Tacoma Park, Maryland on June 26, 1980 to Jim and Sandy Fry. She had two older twin siblings, Melissa and Jonathan. Her birthday was always very important to her, almost a "National Holiday." Amy loved the ocean and there are many happy memories celebrating her birthday and family vacations there. Amy attended Riverdale Baptist Church for most of her life, and joined First Baptist Church of Crofton after her marriage. She trusted Christ as her personal Savior at age 4. Her favorite Bible verse was Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Amy was a talented flutist, and began studying the flute at age 11. She was musically inclined from an early age and attended Czehy Summer School of Music for two years. She performed in the Riverdale Baptist Church Orchestra, Living Christmas Tree and Easter Passion Plays, Eleanor Roosevelt High School Flute Choir, and traveled to Germany while in high school, performing at various cathedrals. She studied flute under Betty McGhee from 1991-1998 and David Lavorgna from 1998-2002. She attended University of Maryland Baltimore County on a flute scholarship and graduated with a B.A. in Music Performance in 2002. She taught private flute lessons, and under her instruction her students grew as musicians. She loved children and taught as a music teacher for two years in Prince George's County Schools. She took a personal interest in her students. Amy met her future husband, Brian Keith Mullis in 1998 at the Baptist Student Ministry at UMBC, and they were married on August 7, 2004. On October 10, 2009, Amy and Keith welcomed a beautiful daughter, Mya Noelle. Amy was very proud of her daughter and loved being a mother and aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was a full-time homemaker until her death on March 15, 2013. Amy is survived by her husband Keith, daughter Mya, parents Jim and Sandy Fry, brother Jonathan Fry (wife Melissa), two nieces (Emily and Sophia), and two nephews (Nathaniel and Joshua), and beloved Yorkie pet Sonny. Her older sister Melissa preceded her in death in 2010. She was deeply loved by all, and will be very much missed.
