Robert E. Dinsmore

Born August 3, 1937 in Washington DC to Benjamin and Grace. Robert (Dinny) was one of 9 children. Survived by his sister Martha Guice and brother Donald Dinsmore. He grew up in Northwest and attended school at McKinley Tech High. Dinny went into the US Army 82nd airborne division in 1956 and was honorably discharged in 1958. Dinny spent most of his career at Flippo Construction Company where he managed large utility jobs for the company. He ended his career working for Sun Ventures Inc. until his retirement in early 2010. Dinny and Petie Dinsmore married on November 5th 1960 at St. Dominic's in Southwest. Their early married years were spent in Bladensburg, they soon settled in Lanham/New Carrollton Maryland where they raised their 5 boys. During the 57 years that Dinny and Petie spent together their 5 boys added 11 grandchildren to the family. In addition to his sister and brother Dinny is survived by his beloved wife Petie. Sons, David and wife Patti, Denny, Chris and wife Teresa, Timmy and wife Annmarie, Jason and wife Christine. Grandchildren, Danielle, Jayme, Robbie, Emily, Drew, Ryan, CJ, Megan, Ann-Marie, Timmy and Gavin.
