Jane Colleen Neese

NEESE, JANE COLLEEN, of Gambrills, Maryland, age 69, died Wednesday August 8, 2012 at John and Arloine Mandarin Inpatient Care Center, in Harwood, Maryland after lengthy complications from diabetes, cancer treatments and a recent fall. Colleen was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, July 26, 1943 to Floyd and Wanda Barker and older sister to Edward Barker (deceased) and his family; wife, Judy, son Ryan and daughter Caitlin. She has lived in Annapolis and Gambrills, Maryland since 1969. Colleen is survived by her husband, Edward Neese, her mother, Alice Wanda Barker, her son and daughter in-law, Michael and Christine Neese and her grandson Isaac Neese. There are also many extended, loving family members in Tennessee and South Carolina that are too numerous to count who will also remember her fondly. She was always the care giver for the family until recent years when several medical complications made it difficult for Colleen to perform typical daily functions. At work she had become a medical claims supervisor through hard work and diligent study. She often remarked that she felt hindered by the fact that she had not finished college. However, like her father, she applied herself to ensure that she did the very best in any position she had. When her son Michael was a small boy, she was the ever attendant story teller and was always there for him for comfort and reassurance which he now passes on to his own son, Isaac. While cancer ensured that she only had one child, she never allowed that to deter her love and care of her family which now passes on her memories. Viewings will be Sunday, August 12th from 2-5 pm and Monday August 13th from 10-11 am with Funeral service at 11 am, also at BEALL FUNERAL HOME and refreshments at First Baptist Church of Crofton after the Funeral service located at 1690 Crofton Pkwy in Crofton, MD.
