On Wednesday, July 11, 2012, surrounded by his family at his home in Hyattsville, MD. Survived by wife Elizabeth, sons James, Chris, and Robert, step-sons John and Clayton, eight grandchildren, sister Mary, and brother William. Preceded in death by his parents, Willie and George, brothers Paul, George, Jr., John, Clovis, Joseph, and Henry. Born October 14, 1936, Walter served honorably in the US Army, and retired from Arnold & Porter, LLP. Family will receive friends at the BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Monday, July 16, 2012 from 6 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Grace Baptist Church, 7210 Racetrack Rd., Bowie, MD on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 12 p.m. Interment, Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD. If desired, contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church.
