On Friday, July 6, 2012, of Clinton, MD. Librada Ardines Arrieta, also affectionately known as "Libring", "Libby", and "Mima", passed away at her home in the presence of her loving family at bedside of natural causes in Clinton, MD. Beloved wife of the late Rubidio Arrieta; loving mother of Alex Arrieta, Jasmin Arrieta-Borsh and her husband Daniel, Mark Arrieta and his wife Claudia; sister of Adelaida Ardines-Sotelo, Jaime Ardinez, and Rafaela Ardines-Tiburcio; dear grandmother of Jeannene Stokes, Robert Stokes, Christi Nuhfer, Matthew Arrieta, Sarah Arrieta, Leah Arrieta, Joshua Arrieta; and great-grandmother of Lawrence Stokes. She lived a full life, and her charismatic presence is missed to all who hold her dear in their hearts. Librada was born in Liliw, Laguna, Philippines on October 29, 1924. She was a devoted US Navy Wife, who lived in Maryland, California, Hawaii, Egypt, and Taiwan. She was a multifaceted woman who loved to cook, bake, graden, sew, crochet, and created ceramics. She played the piano, and loved to dance. She was known for her playful sense of humor, her love of scary movies, and being a wonderful hostess. She was beautiful, and put her family first. She left behind a wonderful legacy among her family and freinds. She was truly the "Matriarch" of her family. We miss her, and our lives have truly been better because she was in it. Family will receive friends at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 5:00pm to 6:00pm, with a funeral Service at 6:00pm. Interment will occur the following day at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Hwy, Cheltenham, MD on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 11am..
