Olive Ambrosini

Ambrosini, Olive (nee Moore), age 78, passed away peacefully July 1, 2012 in Crofton, MD. Born September 26, 1933 in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire County, England. She grew up there during World War II where her family survived the bombing of her childhood home. She attended Lausanne School in Margate, graduating in 1946. She entered nursing training at Ramsgate General Hospital but left shortly before graduating to marry the love of her life, a young handsome U.S. Airman named Harold Ambrosini. After years of traveling the world as a military wife, and having six children, they settled in suburban Maryland and added another child to the family that was so important to her. Her favorite pastime was knitting, at which she excelled. All of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren have a favorite piece "Nana" knit especially for them. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and loyal friend. We will always remember her love of her family and kindness to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Harold who died in 1977. She is survived by her seven children, Laura (Ray) Clise, Anthony (Brenda), Angela (William) Brennan, Michael (Ellen), Mark (Grace), Theresa (Phil) Heil, and Christine Ambrosini Kerry; sixteen grandchildren, Tracey (John) Coomey, William (Sherrie) Snyder, Joseph Snyder, Elizabeth, Jennifer (Scott) Veil, Jeremiah (Kathryn) Wilson, James Brennan, Jenna, Michael Jr., Christopher, Ray, Mark Jr., Theresa, Robert Hughes, Amy Hughes, and Caroline Kerry; and eighteen great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Christian, Liliana, Kayla, Alexis, Morgan, Shelby, Joseph, Jacob, Genna, Catherine, William, Matthew, Lucas, Kaitlyn, Alyssa, Sean and Michael. Also of note are Steven Kerry, father of Caroline, Kristen McGraw, mother of Lucas and Kaitlyn, Robert Hughes, Sr., father to Robert and Amy, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many wonderful friends. Family will receive friends at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Friday, July 6, 2012 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Chapel, 16501 Annapolis Rd., Bowie, MD on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 11am. Interment, Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
