Thomas Edward Briers

On Saturday, March 17, 2012, Thomas E. Briers, 87, of Crofton, MD was taken by the Lord. Mr. Briers was born in WV, served during WWII for the U.S. Army, a graduate of Virginia Tech, and worked for CSX Railroad until his retirement in 1984. He enjoyed oil painting and golf. Mr. Briers is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Barbara: their children; Stephen, Elizabeth, Michael, and David; as well as five grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, from 2 to 4pm. Memorial services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at 10am, followed by interment in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Hwy, Annapolis, MD 21401.
