Edward Reio

On Wednesday, February 22, 2012, Edward "Buddy" Reio of Bowie passed away at Crofton Care and Rehabilitation Center. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Ruth Reio, son Edward "Buddy" Reio Jr. and his wife Monica, and grandchildren Jamie Richards, Lauren Reio and Megan Reio. he was born in Mitchellville on July 9, 1929. He was a sweet man who came from a humble beginning. He loved farming, gardening and was happiest when riding a tractor and helping his son cut grass. He was employed over 20 years by Prince George's County Board of Education as a mechanic. His hobbies were woodworking, playing music and doing puzzles. He loved his son and his granddaughters immensely and always wanted them to know how proud he was of them. No matter how small or insignificant their accomplishments might seem to others, they were always giant in his eyes. He wanted them to have everything he never had. He will truly be missed by the ones who love him. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 24, 2012, at the family owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte 3 South), Bowie, MD, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012, at the First Lutheran Church of Bowie, 12710 Duckettown Rd., Laurel, MD 20708, at 11 a.m. Interment in the First Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.
