John Everett "Bussie" Milburn was the 12th of 14 children born to Robert and Sallie Milburn. There is currently only 1 sibling remaining, a younger sister. He had 9 sisters and 4 brothers. One sister being his twin. She passed away on January 29 20 years before him. Bussie was in the Navy and married Anna Rebecca Palmer on Feb. 2, 1947. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Anna Rebecca Milburn; his daughter, Sallie Ann Warren and her husband David; his granddaughter, Tracie Lynn Terneus and her husband Tom; and his grandson, John David Warren; three great-granddaughters, Jessica, Rebecca, and Sarah Terneus; one sister, June Windsor. Twelve other siblings who have gone before are waiting to greet him with love. As I have spoken to people over the past few days, some of the the words I have heard the most are gentle, loving, caring, generous, kind. Things like "he always made me feel special" - "never heard him say a harsh word" - "Without Uncle Bussie I would not have been able to ....". I was blessed to be born to my parents. Their marriage was an example to the entire family. 65 years on Feb. 2...the last day they will be together...65 years of love. Dad took special pride in his family. His grandchildren and great-granddaugters brought him so much joy. I hope each of you has a special memory of my Dad that you can hold in your heart. I know he gave his immediate family a lifetime of them! I will miss his smile most of all and that mischievious twinkle in his eyes.
