William B. Mohr On Thursday, January 12, 2012, of Crofton, MD. Beloved husband of Vickie Mohr; loving father of Patrick Mohr (Kimberly) and Brian Mohr (Joanna); brother of Richard W. Mohr and the late Barbara and Thomas Mohr; grandfather of 3 grandchildren. Family will receive friends at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Thursday, January 19, 2012 from 6 to 8pm. A funeral Service will be held at Prince of Peace Presbyterian Church, 1657 Crofton Parkway, Crofton,MD on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 9:30am. Interment, Maryland Veterans Cemetery-Crownsville. Contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org or to Jill's House, jillshouse.org. Bill graduated from Irving High School in Irving, Texas. He received his BS degree from University of Texas at Arlington, Texas. A Masters degree in Organic Chemistry was received from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Following college, Bill began his naval career at OCS, Newport, RI. His first assignment was to teach chemistry at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. His military career involved teaching, research and development, and varied assignments, including Navy Space. Upon retirement, Bill continued to facilitate research and development with SRI, International, assigned to the WAshington, DC office. Upon retirement from SRI, Bill and Vickie enjoyed traveling and their 3 grandchildren, Hannah. Lukas and Gavin.
